Our work is mainly focused on the early stages of the projects (Pre-Seed and Seed), where our methodology and experience applied, allow us to identify initiatives with significant development potential, also involving us directly as consultants and advisors, accompanying the new projects on their way to mature as viable businesses.
We invest together with our co-investors and participate in most of the Advisory Boards in the startups in our portfolio, proposing business development services based on our experience, with the main objectives of:
- to ensure the project´s consistency and viability
- to preserve our investments
The maturity period of our investments is usually less than 3 years, as we understand and believe that after that period of time, the invested project is already at the next stage of their business development, and therefore our value contribution has decreased.
The philosophy of our method of analysis is based on the following fundamentals:

- Teamwork, both internally and within the projects.
- A high degree of involvement in the development in the projects and opportunities.
VALIDATION
The first step in all of the investments is to be analyzed based on a reputational Due Diligence, followed by Financial and Technological Due Diligence as well, covering both the project´s business proposal and also the team that promote it.
PHASE IBUSINESS MODEL INNOVATION
Once the Reputational DD has been passed (and only if it has been passed), we assess:
- The fit of the proposed business model in SI_VC’s global ecosystem, so that startups are part of our collaborative and co-creative environment.
- The alignment with our values.
- The proposed social impact.
TECHNOLOGICAL BASE
Startups must have a technology base that guarantees the scalability of the project as well as the control of its intellectual property.
